Dr. Dontá Morrison is a social entrepreneur focused on bridging gaps that will improve the lives of marginalized individuals. With 20+ years of experience in community engagement and servant leadership, he passionately works to restructure how communities engage in conversations about sex, sexual behavior, and human sexuality in effort to create inclusive spaces that support holistic approaches to wellness.
Dr. Morrison has overseen numerous local, state, and nationally funded programs focusing on HIV prevention, testing, treatment and linkage to care services. He is a Faith Ambassador for the HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN) and develops strategies that faith communities can use to strengthen their approach to sexual health and HIV awareness. Furthermore, he uses his talents to further the work of multiple non-profit and faith-based organizations including Church One Ministries, T.R.U.S.T, Holistic Empowerment Institute, and The Positive Results Corporation.
In addition, he lends voice in the powerful documentary Beyond Ed Buck and episodes of American Gangster: Trap Queens where he provides commentary about the systemic issues affecting LGBTQ persons of color.
Notably, he is a veteran of the United States Air Force, member of Kappa Lambda Chi Military Fraternity, Inc. and in 2018 was recognized by HIV Plus Magazine as one of the top 20 most amazing HIV+ people in the nation.
