Transforming Lives: The Journey of Marsell Wellness Center

Established in January 2017, Marsell Wellness Center (MWC) is driven by an unwavering commitment to uplift families and individuals who have been misunderstood and underserved. We recognized the pressing need for access to proper care, and from this conviction, MWC was born.

Our journey began with a vital partnership with Riverside County’s Department of Public Social Services (DPSS), allowing us to offer a range of mental health and parenting services. Through counseling, anger management, and domestic violence services, alongside parenting education, we became a lifeline for parents striving to heal, grow, and cultivate a stable environment for their children. We also collaborated with Foster Family agencies across the Inland Empire, using our expertise to help them excel in providing exceptional care for foster children.

In 2019, we took a transformative leap by opening our own Foster Family Agency in Riverside, California. By partnering with the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), we embraced the responsibility of welcoming unaccompanied minors entering the United States. These vulnerable children found not just essential housing and care but also access to education, medical services, and mental health support. Our relentless efforts focused on reuniting these children with their families or connecting them with compassionate vetted sponsors.

The growth of MWC has been vibrant and impactful. Between 2019 and 2024, we expanded our reach with the addition of five new locations across Southern California, serving countless children and families in need. In our pursuit of addressing the unique challenges faced by minors without permanent placements, we introduced a long-term care program in Ontario and Montebello, California, in 2023 and 2024. This initiative provides a nurturing environment where these young individuals can stay until adulthood, receiving the transitional support necessary for a life of independence and possibility.
